Emporio lavas (11)
These are domes and thick flows of light ash-colored dacitic lava, outcropping at the rim of the northern side of the caldera as well as at the northern slopes of the volcano. Few inclusions of andesitic composition are observed (1-3%).
Their maximum thickness reaches 80-90m on the Emporio and Akimaronas domes.
