About the Place
In the beautiful remote volcanic island of Nisyros,just by the beach,15′ walk from the main village,Mandraki and 5’walk from the comunity thermal baths,is situated this small house,next to the house i live.
The space
What makes this place really atractive is its location and its simplicity.It is situated out of the village,but just 15-20’walking distance from it.There is a beach right in front of the house,where u can jump in the water almost directly from your bed. It s in 5’walking distance from the thermal baths,situated inside a big piece of land,made terraces,with terebinthe,eucalyptus,oak,fig and olive trees and a lot of other native-some of them medical-plants,like caper,St.John ‘ wort,salvia,wild anis,wild asparangus etc..In the night,birds make party,with the owls landing and staying on the road,and partridges appear flying heavily every now and then,during daytime.
Guest access
The house is small(one room with kitchenette and bathroom,and a terrace)but cozy.It has view to the sea,air condition,kitchenette with refrigarator and wi fi access.There is washing machine in my house,which is near the guest ‘s house,which u can use free.Linen and towels provided,as well as detergents igienic paper and soap.There are 2 hammacks,which u can tie in 2 trees of your preference,or in your terrace,and swing philosophising for hours.You can go around everywhere without prohibitions.The beach is just infront,just crossing the road,with medium black stones in the entrance and pure sand after the first 5 steps.
I am 57 years old,independent,adventurus traveller since 27 without pause-my last trip was in Latinoamerica for 8 months,I ve been around South east Asia and Indonesia ,India,Turquia,Egypt and Southern Africa,and a bit in Europe-Spain,Portugal,Paris,ex-Yugoslavia and of course Greece.Always backpacking,and moving around by local buses or moto,in countries ” without roads”like Cambodia 10 years ago. I love to play music(percusion is my instrument,together with piano and now i an in the charango trip)and i can asure u that its one of the most happy and easy going ways to aproach and comunicate with people.And of course i love to listen to music,almost anything,as for me ,music is a good way to understand the different cultures. also like languages ,i speak fluently english spanish and french,and good enough italian.And of course,like most travellers,a little bit of everything,wich u forget when u r at home,and u re-remember in a magic way when u r in the country. Other things i am into,is cinema and anthropology This is my first time like a host,though my house was always hosting guests,usually friends that i ve made during ll do the hosting with gnomon what i look for while that is:1.Price to be a correct exchange 2.Clean and good vibe place,that makes u feel “at home” 3.Centrally located 4.Good travellers infos,and not just the turistic ones

My house is near the guest house,and i am staying there with my mother,Popy,so i can help in anything u need.I can give u any information about Nisyros,and show u the paths on the mountains,if u wish,or explain the way and u can try alone.I can offer a super breakfast,including coffee or tea,or herbal tea(as much as u want),fresh orange juice,yogurt with fresh fruits and serials and honey,piece of cake,2 eggs how u like them or toast
