Mill-Vathia-Loutra

You can embark this path shortly before the junction to Paliokastro on the left side of the road between to stonewalls or walking left up on the road to Evaggelistria, exactly on the edge the first turn . On the path you will find a junction in front of you you will see the walkway the bring to do the first stop at Partheni Mylos (Mill of Parthenis), towering above Mandraki, which will reward you with a magnificent view and observation of the stone masonry of the abandoned windmill. 

Walking back to the junction is possible to follow the long and easy walkway to Vathia and after toward Loutra. Or at the location called Kryo walking ahead down back to mandraki harbour at the spot where you will find Agios Nikitas Church

The path to Vathia- Loutra is a nice wide and sunny walk where you will find a lot of nice old “spilladi” ruins and enjoy a wonderful view of the seaside. On a spot it will also possible to climb up towards Evaggelistria but the pathway is not always clean and visible.

At the above mentioned path’s junction taking the eastern way of the path will lead you to Vathia, where you can see a segment of a ‘cyclopean’ wall, possibly of Neolithic age, in addition to impressive lava flows outcrops.

Following the hiking you have the possibility to walk parallel the sea and land where is the municipal Loutra (thermal baths).

Finally, it must be stressed that carriage roads are of particular interest for hiking and observing the geological formations.
